Gotta hand it to Air for bringing back playing with toys, right? And you know what? It really, really works. We’ve given Pocket Symphony a coupla runthroughs and so far it’s very gently coaxing our socks off.A significant departure from their usual distinctly pelvic synth-pop, Pocket Symphony is downright Elliott Smith-y. If our moms weren’t reading we’d go so far as to say that Air has opted to ‘folk’ where they used to… well… hi mom.
Anyway, here’s the Mathieu Tonetti (Phoenix, Sebastien Tellier) -directed video for the first single from Air’s easy little symphony. It’s called “Once Upon A Time” and you’d better believe it’s a dazzler.
